The Inspiration

Lewes, where I currently reside has many things of interest, Anne of Cleves house, a castle and such like. By far my favourite though was the bookshop that once stood on the corner of Station and High Streets. It closed about 3 years ago but it's greatest asset was the shop window.

Displayed in the window were a number of titles, not for sale, that for one reason or another were humours, weird or just plain odd. Like the shop, the window is now long gone but a book is available that commemorates this moment in time.

Titles from Caburn Books

I used to cry with laughter looking into that shop window and subsequently through the book so decided to search out additional titles. Most of these are still in print and can be purchased from the likes of Amazon. I think they make perfect gifts for those you love and those you don't!
